Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief (TBDR)
Tennessee Baptist Disaster
Relief (TBDR) is a cooperative, volunteer ministry of the Tennessee
Baptist Convention and its affiliated churches. It is totally
dependent upon volunteers who give of their time, energy, talents
and finances to assist others in a time of disaster. There are only
two full-time employees dedicated to Disaster Relief whose salary is
paid by the Cooperative Program and not Disaster Relief donations.
All donations designated to Disaster Relief are used for victims’
assistance. TBDR is a part of the larger Southern Baptist disaster
relief ministry and coordinates all response through our partners,
(FEMA, Red Cross, Salvation Army and other national relief
agencies). We have over 10,000 volunteers who provide relief through
recovery (chainsaw and flood recovery), mass feeding, childcare,
chaplaincy, water purification, mobile showers, laundry services,
transportation, and communication services. More
